A new thin-wall 1-piece overmolded TPE clip design completely seals
door-trim panels, eliminating the need for a foam-gasket barrier and
pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA), reducing labor and saving $1.24
USD/vehicle. The clip design was tuned
to meet NVH requirements and seal against air and water leaks. It provides more
consistent NVH values and water management while reducing
manufacturing-assembly error.
