Light Guide as Battery-Charge Indicator

This is the first use of diffusive PMMA as a light guide to indicate battery charge on the outside of PHEV / BEV vehicles.  The light guide provides freedom to the stylist to design the charge port in various shapes while reducing the number of LEDs needed and improving craftsmanship.
