By replacing metal with injection-molded LFT-PP, it was
possible to reduce weight by more than 50%, eliminate corrosion and the cost
and environmental impact of paint, improve cold-temperature impact, scratch
resistance, and weatherability, and integrate the upper step with the
front fender (eliminating assembly and reducing part count) on these commercial
trucks in China.
