Rear Exterior Fixed Handle

This application represents the first use of a soft, Shore A 50 durometer, high-flow TPE used in a 2-shot molding operation to overmold a rigid PC/ABS substrate for a rear exterior fixed decklid handle.  The TPE is weatherable, UV- and ozone resistant, and forms a watertight seal.  It bonds to the substrate without primer or adhesion promoter (an environmental and cost benefit), uses a special plasticizer to eliminate long-term crazing of the substrate, is color-matched to Anthracite 598F, maintains a PGH gloss level, and has a low CLTE vs. the rigid substrate.
