Dual-impedance foil technology is used on high-volume vehicles to
reduce noise between engine and passenger compartments. It reduces cost and weight while maintaining NVH
performance. Versus competitive systems,
a perforated PE/PA foil replaces one of two layers of noise-absorbing fabric
(typically PET and cotton fibers).
