Front Grille Flushness Bracket

The engineering challenge on this project was to control flushness variability between grille and headlamp while accounting for service constraints as well as the front-end module (FEM) build requirements. The solution was a lightweight inexpensive hook bracket injection molded from PA 6/6 that is tunable, allowing the grille to be pushed or pulled to achieve the desired level of flushness for improved fit & finish. The bracket also allows the fascia/grille assembly to be removable at the plant without loss of function.
